Mechanism of action
ClinOleic is an intravenous lipid emulsion composed of soybean oil and fish oil that supplies omega-3 and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, along with energy substrates for metabolic support. It is used as part of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) regimens to prevent essential fatty acid deficiency and provide caloric support in critically ill or post-operative patients who cannot receive adequate nutrition enterally.
