Mechanism of action
Clindamycin phosphate is a lincosamide antibiotic that binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis and ultimately leading to bacterial cell death. Butoconazole nitrate is an imidazole antifungal that disrupts the cell membrane of fungi, ultimately leading to cell death.
