Mechanism of action

The drug targets bacterial colonization in the nasal passages, which serves as a reservoir for infections such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other nosocomial pathogens. By reducing nasal bacterial burden, it aims to decrease the risk of subsequent systemic infections and healthcare-associated infections.
