Choriogonadotropin (generic name: chorionic gonadotrophin) is a drug developed by Ferring. It is currently FDA-approved for Controlled ovarian stimulation, Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, Induction of final follicular maturation and luteinization.
Choriogonadotropin is a protein that acts as an agonist to the Luteinizing hormone/Choriogonadotropin receptor. It is used in medical treatments for conditions such as preterm labor, infertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome, often in conjunction with other interventions like in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
