Mechanism of action

Betamethasone acts as a synthetic glucocorticoid that binds to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors, translocating to the nucleus to modulate gene expression. This results in decreased production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reduced immune cell activation and migration, and suppression of inflammatory mediators. The dual formulation (Celestone + Celestone) likely represents a combination of immediate-release and depot formulations for extended therapeutic coverage.
