Mechanism of action
B vitamins (including thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, folate, and cobalamin) serve as coenzymes in critical metabolic pathways. They support energy production from carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, facilitate DNA replication and repair, and maintain myelin integrity in the nervous system. Deficiency states are corrected through supplementation or therapeutic dosing.
