Mechanism of action
Arnica montana extract contains sesquiterpene lactones and other phytochemicals that suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines and NF-κB signaling. These constituents enhance microcirculation and promote wound healing, making it traditionally used for bruising, swelling, and musculoskeletal trauma. The mechanism is primarily anti-inflammatory and circulatory rather than targeting a single molecular receptor.
